If you’d told me years ago that I’d one day love fitness, I would’ve laughed.
Back in high school,
I dreaded fitness classes and avoided workouts whenever I could.
I remember coming in dead last in the 2000-meter run,
and honestly, I wasn’t surprised.
I didn’t see myself as the “active type”.
I didn’t enjoy exercise,
and to top it off,
my scoliosis and flat feet made every workout session painful.
My back and knees were always sore,
and fitness just felt like a never-ending cycle of discomfort.
But then I tried yoga, and everything changed.

Yoga challenged me in ways I never expected.
It worked my strength, endurance, flexibility, and balance.
Each class left me sweating,
but here’s the twist—I felt amazing afterwards.
Instead of feeling drained, I felt energized ⚡
My mood lifted,
my body felt stronger,
and I realized that fitness didn’t have to mean feeling completely exhausted 🤯
For over 15 years now,
I’ve started each day with yoga.
(of course I skip a practice here and there, especially in the weekend)
That simple habit,
has completely transformed my view on fitness.
From Fitness Dread to a New Perspective
This daily habit didn’t just improve my physical health,
it changed how I see myself.
Yoga helped me shift from someone who dreaded workouts to someone who actually enjoys being active.
I started to see myself as a fit, active person,
and that shift in identity changed everything.
With a new outlook,
I found myself exploring other activities I’d never considered before:
Pilates, CrossFit, weight lifting, even mountain biking and kitesurfing.

Yoga became my foundation,
and my mornings became something I looked forward to every day.
This small, consistent habit gave me a more fulfilling, enjoyable life.
And I’d recommend it to anyone who’s looking to bring fitness into their life in a way that feels good.
How to Make Morning Yoga Your Game-Changing Habit
If you’re ready to make this small but powerful change, here’s how to start:
- Pick a Time: Set aside a quiet moment in the early part of your day when you won’t be interrupted.
- Start Small: Begin with just 10 minutes of yoga. Keep it simple and gentle—this is about consistency. (Here’s a 10-min session you can start with)
- Show Up Daily: Commit to your morning yoga at the same time, at least six days a week.
- Stick with It for 21 Days: This timeframe helps cement the habit, making it something you look forward to instead of an obligation.
- Thank Me Later 😉: Trust me—this one small change can have a ripple effect you’ll feel in every area of your life.
The beauty of this habit is that it doesn’t just work your body,
it works on your mind,
your energy,
and how you feel about yourself.
So give it a try,
and let yoga show you a whole new side of fitness!
Have a wonderful day ✨
