Iβm celebrating my 41st birthday this week
But honestly?
I feel much better today than I did when I was 21.
If you had met me twenty years ago, you wouldβve seen a guy struggling with chronic back pain, low moods, and zero energy.
Most of us carry this limiting belief that the body is a "failing machine"β¦
that as the years pass, weβre supposed to fall apart, feel pain, and lose our spark.
Iβm here to tell you thatβs just not true!
Getting older is natural, you canβt stop the clock.
But feeling "old"?
Feeling like your body is finished?
Thatβs optional.
We see people today in their 60s, 70s, and even 80s who donβt just look young, but move and live with the intensity of people 20 years younger.
If they can do it, so can you.
Thatβs the mantra that drives my life.
To stay young at a cellular level, here are the 5 things I do (my foundation):
1. Yoga (Almost every morning for 15+ years)
I started because I looked for an alternative to the gym (which I hated at the time).
I kept going because it helped me to get rid of the back pain that plagued my 20s, and lift my mood on days I felt down.
Over the years yoga opened up my flexibility, improved my posture, and kept my joints fluid and pain-free.
Itβs one of the BEST choices I ever made!

2. Strength Training (2-3 times a week)
This is something I started in the last four years, and I wish Iβd started at 20.
Today, Iβm in the best shape of my life!
Stronger, fitter, and most importantly, healthier than ever.
I used to dislike gyms, but I realized how critical muscle mass is.
It supports your joints, keeps your metabolism high so I can eat what I want without worrying about weight, and lets me start extreme hobbies like kitesurfing and mountain biking at 40.
Plus, it keeps hormones balanced and protects your heart, sugar levels, and even memory.

3. Meditation (Nearly 20 years)
The single biggest impact on my life.
I used to be a pretty negative person (which surprises me today because that feels like a different person), but meditation changed my perspective.
It shows me the beauty in life and makes me happier.
10 minutes of sitting in silence, listening to sounds, and following my breath, thatβs all it takes.

4. Mediterranean Diet
A diet rich in protein, vegetables, fruit, and healthy fats.
Iβve cut my sugar and sweets intake by 98% and focus on unprocessed food as much as possible.
This is critical for staying young at a cellular level because it prevents inflammation, the root of almost every disease.

5. Walking (At least 30 minutes a day)
I started this 20 years ago because of my dogs, and itβs the one thing I recommend to everyone at any age.
It keeps the body active, clears the head, and strengthens the heart and lungs.
Itβs one of the most underrated yet simplest workouts.
Just put on shoes and walk outside.
Doesn't matter if youβre in the city, the country, or on a treadmill when the weather is bad.

Takeaway
There are many other small things I do (vitamins, constant learning, new hobbies), but these five are the foundation.
Without them?
I might be 41, but Iβd feel more like 60.
If youβre feeling worse than youβd like, if youβre dealing with weakness, stiffness, pain, or health issues like cholesterol or blood pressure -
these five things are where Iβd start.
Go for a walk, do some stretches on a mat to release your joints, lift some weights to strengthen your muscles, eat a bit more protein and veggies, and give yourself 10 minutes a day to sit in silence and clear your head.
Your life will change, and youβll feel much younger.
Have a wonderful day
Idan
