Your hair isn’t falling out for no reason…
You start noticing more hair in the shower drain.
Your hairline slowly creeping back in photos.
Your ponytail feels thinner.
Or maybe your scalp more visible under the light…
It doesn’t happen overnight.
It’s slow…subtle…until one day you can’t ignore it anymore.
Unfortunately, most people accept it as “just aging”, or they chase quick fixes that never address the real problem.
Hair loss after 40 isn’t random, it’s biological change over time.
Hormones shift.
Cell renewal slows down.
Blood flow decreases.
And your body starts prioritizing survival… not your hair.
But here’s the good news:
Hair loss is not a life sentence!
If you give your body what it actually needs, you can slow it down, improve thickness, and even support regrowth.
And that’s exactly what I want to show you:

1. Feed your hair like it matters
This is where most people go wrong.
Hair is made mostly of protein… yet most people under-eat it.
So your body does what it’s supposed to do, it uses nutrients for vital organs first and your hair gets whatever is left… if anything.
If you want stronger, thicker hair, you need to start here:
- Eat more protein daily (eggs, fish, chicken, legumes)
- Add omega 3 fats (salmon, walnuts, flax seeds)
- Make sure you’re not low in iron, zinc, and vitamin C
Here’s what I eat in a day for example:
- 2 eggs + can of sardines in the morning
- 200g salmon/chicken for lunch with bunch of veggies
- protein shake with flax and chia seeds
- handful of walnuts during the day

2. Support what your body is missing
Here’s the truth most people don’t want to hear:
After 40… food alone is often not enough.
Deficiencies are common.
Absorption isn’t as efficient.
And that shows up in your hair.
The key is not taking everything, but taking what actually helps:
- Collagen → provides the building blocks for hair structure
- Biotin (B7) → supports keratin production
- Vitamin D → low levels are strongly linked to hair loss
And one that made a big difference for me:
Spermidine
This is where things get interesting!
It helps keep your hair in its growth phase longer and activates a process called “cell renewal”.
Meaning, your hair follicles stay healthier for longer.
Me and my wife been taking it consistently, and we have seen a noticeable difference in thickness and shedding.

3. Get blood flowing to your scalp
Even with perfect nutrition…If blood doesn’t reach the hair follicle, it won’t grow.
This is a piece almost nobody talks about.
Your hair is fed by tiny blood vessels and if circulation is poor… growth slows down.
Simple fixes:
- 5 minutes daily scalp massage (just fingertips, gentle pressure). I do it in the evening while watching Netflix of listening to a podcast.
- Lower your head for 2-3 minutes to increase blood flow (I love doing headstand in the morning as part of my yoga practice)

4. Stop damaging what you still have
After 40, your hair becomes thinner and more fragile.
Which means your habits matter more than ever.
Small changes that go a long way:
- Use warm water instead of hot in the shower
- Reduce daily heat styling
- Add natural oils like rosemary (shown to support growth)
- Manage stress with yoga and meditation (high cortisol = more shedding)
This is less about regrowing and more about not accelerating the loss.

Takeaway
Hair loss can feel like something you can’t control.
But in reality…it’s one of the clearest signals your body is giving you that something needs attention.
Start with the basics.
You don’t need perfection.
You just need to stop ignoring it.
And once you do, your body has an incredible ability to respond
Have a wonderful day
