I’ve been doing a lot of 1–1 meetings lately with women in their late 40s, 50s, and 60s…
and the same story keeps coming up again and again...
Weight gain that feels impossible to lose.
Stubborn belly fat.
Joint pain in the knees, hips, hands.
Back pain.
Weakness.
Stiffness.
But these changes are reversible with the right approach.
Just look at what one of the ladies shared with me this week She lost 4kg and in less pain and sleep better (in less than a month!)

This is what happens when you work with your biology instead of fighting against it.
But first…let’s understand why these symptoms show up in the first place.
What’s Actually Happening in Menopause
Women are told “it’s just hormones,” but that’s only half the truth.
What really causes the weight gain, stiffness, and joint pain is this:
Hormones + Habits + Life Reality
Let’s break it down:
1. Estrogen Drops
When estrogen goes down:
- joints dry out
- cartilage thins
- inflammation rises
- recovery slows
So movements that felt easy at 35 can suddenly feel painful at 50.
2. Natural Muscle Loss
After 40, women lose muscle unless they actively train it.
Less muscle means:
- slower metabolism
- more fat storage
- less joint support
Even walking downhill can start hurting because the stabilizing muscles aren’t as strong.
3. Higher Stress (Cortisol)
Midlife is the most stressful decade for most women.
- Work
- Family
- Aging parents
- Sleep disruption
All of this raises cortisol.
High cortisol + low estrogen =
belly fat, cravings, and stubborn weight loss.
4. Low Protein Intake
Protein protects muscle, stabilizes hunger, and supports metabolism.
Most women 40+ don’t eat enough of it, which accelerates muscle loss and slows fat loss.
5. Less Daily Movement (NEAT)
NEAT = your daily movement outside of workouts.
After 40, NEAT often drops by 300–500 calories a day without anyone noticing:
- more sitting
- more driving
- more computer time
- less walking
Less movement = stiffer joints + slower metabolism
6. Weight Gain Increases Joint Pressure
Even a 5 kg gain puts significantly more load on the knees and hips.
Combine that with:
- less muscle
- less lubrication
- more inflammation
… and pain shows up fast.
So What’s the Fix?
Here’s the encouraging part:
These changes are NOT permanent.
You simply need the right strategy for the stage your body is in.
Here’s the exact framework I use with the women I coach:
1. Eat More Protein Per Meal
This stabilizes hunger, protects muscle, boosts metabolism, and helps with fat loss.
2. Strength Train 2-3 Times a Week
Non negotiable.
More muscle =
- faster metabolism
- better joint protection
- less stiffness
- better posture
- stronger bones
3. Build Daily Movement (NEAT)
Walk more, dance more, take the stairs, work in the garden.
This alone can change how your body burns energy.
4. Balanced Meals for Blood Sugar Control
Stable blood sugar means:
- fewer cravings
- fewer energy crashes
- easier fat loss
5. Reduce Stress
- Yoga
- Breathwork
- Walks
- Bedtime routine
Less cortisol = less belly fat + less inflammation + less pain
6. Mobility & Joint Work Daily
Just 10 minutes a day:
- Lubricate the joints
- reduces stiffness
- hydrates fascia
- improves range of motion
- lowers inflammation
- decreases pain
7. Anti Inflammatory Nutrition
No need for a complicated diet. Just focus on:
- protein
- veggies
- healthy fats
- low sugar
- fewer processed foods
- stable blood sugar
Your joints and belly will feel the difference.
Ready to Finally Feel in Control of Your Body Again?
If you’ve been trying to fix these issues alone and keep ending up in the same place… you’re not alone.
Women don’t struggle because they lack information.
They struggle because they lack accountability, structure, and support.
That’s why I created my 12-week group coaching program.
For 3 months, we’ll build the habits your body needs, together:
weekly check-ins
a small group facing the same challenges
a clear plan for food, mobility, and strength
guidance so you’re never guessing or doing this alone
This isn’t another “follow a video”
It’s a guided transformation with real support.
I’m opening 15 spots, and a few are already taken.
