Before 9 AM: Do These 5 Things

In today’s newsletter, I’m sharing five simple morning habits you can do before 9 am that will help you feel better physically, mentally, and emotionally, for the rest of the day.

You’ve probably seen influencers pushing wild routines:

waking up at 4 am, cold plunges, rubbing banana peels on their faces (yes, that’s a thing), or doing hour-long workouts before the sun rises.

Intriguing? Maybe.
Sustainable? Not really.

You don’t need a complicated routine to feel amazing.

What actually matters is how you start your morning, and even a few small shifts can completely change how your day unfolds.

Instead of dragging yourself through the day feeling groggy, scattered, or always one step behind…

Imagine this:
You wake up feeling clear-headed
You start your day without rushing
You're calmer when things go sideways
You're not snapping at the people you love

And by the time the evening comes, you’ve still got energy to enjoy your time, not just crash on the couch.

That’s what a simple morning routine can do.
No ice baths required 🥶

Here are 5 easy things you can start doing tomorrow morning:

1️⃣ Wake Up Just 30 Minutes Earlier ⏰

You don’t need a 5 am alarm. Just waking up 30 minutes earlier gives you breathing room to stretch, breathe, move, or just sip your coffee in peace. That time is yours.

→ Action Step: Set your alarm tonight just 30 minutes earlier than usual and enjoy a calm start tomorrow.

2️⃣ Don’t Reach for Your Phone 🤳

The second you check messages or social media, your day belongs to everyone else. Starting phone-free helps you stay grounded and clear-headed.

→ Action Step: Put your phone across the room or in another space tonight. Out of reach = out of mind.

3️⃣ Move Your Body for 10–20 Minutes 🚶‍♂️

Even light movement boosts your circulation, wakes up your joints, lifts your mood, and sets the tone for an energized day.

→ Action Step: Choose something simple. It can be yoga, stretching, bodyweight exercises, or a walk. Aim for minimum 10 minutes. If you can do more - even better!

4️⃣ Sit in Stillness (5–10 Minutes) 🧘‍♀️

A short meditation helps quiet the mental noise, ease stress, and sharpen your focus so you're not just reacting to the day, but moving through it with intention.

→ Action Step: Sit comfortably, close your eyes, and focus on your breathing for 5–10 minutes. You’ll be surprised how good it feels.

5️⃣ Eat a High-Protein Breakfast 🍳

Skipping breakfast or grabbing sugar-loaded snacks leads to energy crashes.

Protein keeps your blood sugar steady, supports your brain, and helps you feel fuller longer.

→ Action Step: Plan a protein-packed breakfast like eggs, Greek yogurt, cottage cheese, or a smoothie with protein powder.

Takeaway

You don’t need to change your entire life overnight.
Just start small. Be consistent.

Let these morning habits create momentum and watch how much better your day (and mood, and energy) becomes.

Have a wonderful day ✨
