As someone who coaches people to live healthier lives, one of the first things I work on with my clients is a foundational lifestyle habit:

Moving often and well 💃🕺

And I'm not talking about sweating it out in the gym for an hour.

Nope, I'm talking about the simple, everyday movements that our bodies are literally begging us for.

In today's fast-paced, sit-down-all-day kind of world, we're missing out on the incredible health benefits that come from just moving our bodies regularly.

The lack of movement is doing more harm than you might think.

From weight gain and bone density loss to mental health concerns and even a weakened immune system, the list goes on.

And let's be real, who wants to feel sluggish and low-energy all day?

So, how you can turn things around?

It's easier than you think!

Here are the 4 simple steps I work on with my clients.


🟡 Step 1: Add Daily-Life Movements

The first step to reclaiming your health is to add more movement to your daily life.

Simple things like walking the dog, taking the stairs, or even doing your own chores can make a big difference.

How about a short morning walk after launch?
A movement routine right before bed?
Or maybe you can bike to work instead of driving.

Trust me, these little changes add up.


🟡 Step 2: Schedule and Prepare

You know how you wouldn't miss an important appointment or meeting, right?

Well, think of your workout as a crucial meeting with your health.

Slot it into your calendar and treat it with the same level of importance.

Whether it's a group yoga class or a solo workout at home, schedule it and stick to it.

Because what gets scheduled gets done, right?


🟡 Step 3: Build an Activity Team

Accountability is a game-changer.

Whether it's walking the dog, joining a community gym, or even being part of a virtual fitness community, having someone to share your activity journey with can be super motivating.

So go ahead, call up a friend for a walk, join an online community or local studio.

Make it social, and you'll stick with it.


🟡 Step 4: Make it Fun

Who said movement has to be a chore?
Make it fun!

Play with your kids or grand kids, go on active holidays, walk in nature, shake your booty in a Zumba class or pick up a recreational sport you've always wanted to try.

When you enjoy what you're doing, it won't even feel like exercise.
