How to improve mobility and flexibility

To improve both your mobility and flexibility you need to incorporate a routine with both static and dynamic stretching.

Flexibility = Static stretching

Static stretches are often the first ones that come to mind when you think of gaining flexibility.

It's when you stand, sit or lie still and hold a single position for a period of time.

They are a great way to increase your range of motion and decrease muscle stiffness. It also reduces the risk for acute injuries, as it takes time with emphasis on postural awareness.

Mobility = Dynamic stretching
